Welcome, to my passionate catering organization – Flavour In Time Catering, my name is Chris Meloche. Cooking, and being around food, has always been a passion for me. My desire is to provide affordable gourmet meals that exceed your expectations.
As a kid, I worked three jobs - with the butcher, the baker, and the automotive mechanic. While automotive won out for a long time, food was in the back seat as a hobby interest.
Early 1997, I enrolled as an apprentice in Fanshawe College’s two-year Culinary Skills - Chef Training course. I wrote my papers in 2000 achieving my goal of being a Certified Culinary Chef.
I worked for various restaurants and private golf courses. The John Labatt Centre was a marvelous job for me. I met and fed all sorts of concert groups, athletes, and some political celebrities.
I traveled all over North America to help open other facilities. One of the greatest experiences was the USA Olympic team trials in University of Sacramento. We fed 22,000 people per day – the challenge was to make nutritious and balanced meals that accommodated the many dietary and religious concerns.
In 2006, I taught at Fanshawe College for a year and a half, but my passion to cook for other people was strong. Thus in 2007, I started my company – Flavour In Time Catering.
I chose the company name because it takes time to build flavours in food. Why does soup always taste better the next day? The reason: time - flavours meld creating a tasty delight.
I continue to study different food modifications and combinations - making vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free meals available. Although I like to cook Thai, the entire world gives my cuisine great variety.
I still teach cooking classes through my company. I personalize menus that fit your budget and tastes. Your successful event is the sum of shared ideas, effort and details.
Flavour In Time Catering is about relationships – let us build one together.
